Emergency Dental Care – We’re Here When You Need Us

Dental pain is tough, and we know how urgent it feels. Whether you’re a current patient or new to our practice, we make sure to leave room in our schedule each day to see Austinites with tooth or gum pain.

When you come in, we’ll start with a quick but thorough evaluation of the problem area. This includes taking an X-ray and conducting a focused, 15-30 minute examination—what we call a limited exam.

One of our dentists will walk you through the situation, showing you clear images of what’s going on and explaining your treatment options. We’ll make sure you leave with a solid plan to get you back to feeling comfortable.

A dental emergency refers to any urgent dental issue that requires immediate attention to alleviate pain, prevent further damage, or protect your overall oral health. If you’re experiencing pain rated 5 or above on a scale of 1-10, it’s time to take action and contact us for help.

Some common examples of dental emergencies include:

  • Knocked-out tooth: If a tooth is completely displaced, it’s crucial to seek care as soon as possible to increase the chances of saving the tooth.
  • Broken or cracked tooth: A fractured tooth can cause severe pain and may expose sensitive nerves, requiring prompt attention.
  • Sharp, intense dental pain: Sudden, sharp pain can be a sign of infection, cavities, or nerve damage, which should be addressed right away.
  • Suddenly painful, swollen gums: This may indicate gum infection, an abscess, or an underlying issue that could worsen without timely care.

If you experience any of these symptoms, don’t wait—contact us immediately so we can provide the care you need and get you back to feeling your best!
